Some Run is a community running and fundraising event held at Bruce Central Park in Seagoville, Texas. The event offers in-person and virtual participation options and benefits the A-T Children’s Project. A-T is described as a rare genetic disease that causes progressive loss of muscle control, immune system problems, and a high rate of cancer.
The in-person program includes a timed 5K with bibs and timing chips, an untimed 5K walk or roll, and a short untimed shuffle of about 0.5 mile around the pond. Virtual 5K options are offered for participants in the USA and internationally; USA virtual registrations include t-shirt and medal choices, while international virtual registrations do not include shirts or medals due to shipping costs. A "stay in bed" registration option is listed without shirt or medal.
Prizes are awarded to the top three male and top three female finishers in the timed 5K, with cash awards of $500, $250, and $125 respectively. Packet pick-up is available at the gazebo at Bruce Central Park and includes a goody bag with an event t-shirt and race bib.
