Some Run - TX
Some Run - TX takes place October 3, 2026 at Bruce Central Park in Seagoville, Texas. The event benefits the A-T Children’s Project, which supports research and families affected by ataxia-telangiectasia (A-T). A-T is described as a rare genetic disease that causes progressive loss of muscle control, immune system problems, and a high rate of cancer.
Event options include:
- 5K run (timed; cash prizes for top three male and female finishers)
- 5K walk/roll (untimed)
- Shuffle (0.5 mile stroll around the pond)
- Stay in Bed registration option (no shirt or medal)
- Virtual 5K options for USA and international participants
The timed 5K uses chips for tracking finish times. Cash prizes are listed for first, second and third places in each gender category: $500, $250 and $125 respectively. USA virtual registrations offer options with a t-shirt or with a t-shirt and medal; medals and shirts are not guaranteed for registrations after September 1. International virtual entries do not include shirts or medals.
Packet pick-up is recommended. Packets are distributed at the Bruce Central Park gazebo and include a goody bag, event t-shirt and race bib.
On-site activities noted for the event include arm wrestling, raffles, complimentary Starbucks coffee and tea, Chick-fil-A Chicken Minis, a Faces of A-T display, and Seagofest with live music, food trucks and carnival rides.
