Soles for Souls 5k (formerly Hustle for the Homeless) is scheduled for October 25, 2025 in Denver, North Carolina. The event includes a 5k Timed, a 5k Non Timed Run/Walk, and a Kids Fun Run for ages 11 and under. Entry fees listed for the 5k events are $40; the kids fun run is free. Registration closes on October 22, 2025. The race is the third annual edition and benefits people experiencing homelessness and indigent residents of Lincoln County through advocacy, health, housing and related needs.
Logistics and awards
The venue is Sally's YMCA at 1601 Forney Creek Parkway, Denver, NC 28037. Packet pick up is scheduled for October 24 at Lake Norman Brewery in Denver. T-shirt orders are guaranteed only if requested by October 11, 2025; shirts are included with entry for ages 12 and up. Children 11 and under may purchase a Youth Small or Youth Medium shirt for $15 or choose no shirt.
The course combines hard surface and trail sections and is not stroller friendly. Awards include age-group and overall prizes, for example fastest timed male and female age 12-17 receive a $50 gift card and a Gatorade bottle, and overall fastest male and female receive multi-month gym memberships.
