Soles for Souls 5k Trail Run
Soles for Souls is a costume edition trail event held on 10/24/2026 in Denver, North Carolina at 1601 Forney Creek Pkwy. The course mixes hard surfaces and wooded trails, with uneven terrain, natural obstacles, and changing footing. The route is not stroller friendly.
Distances offered:
- 5k Timed - 3.1 Miles
- 5k Non Timed Run/Walk - 3.1 Miles
- Kids Fun Run 11 and Under - 1 Mile
The timed 5k division requires participants to wear a timing device to receive a time. The non timed division has no bib and no official time. Registration opens 07/18/2026 and closes 10/21/2026; the 5k registration fee is $35.00 and the kids fun run is free.
Packet pick up is scheduled for Oct. 23rd at Lake Norman Brewery in Denver, NC. All finishers receive a race medal, including the fun run participants 11 and under. Runners age 12 and older receive a 2026 race t shirt designed by a Denver area student and a swag bag. Runners 11 and under do not receive a shirt but may purchase a youth shirt for $15; a no shirt option is available at no charge. T shirt deadline to guarantee a shirt is Oct 3rd, 2026.
The event raises funds to support neighbors experiencing homelessness and poverty. Awards include best costume in each age group plus fastest male and female in several age categories and overall fastest male and female. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
