Soles for Souls 5K : Denver, NC
The Soles for Souls 5K is the fourth annual 5K event to support people experiencing homelessness in Lincoln County. It is scheduled for October 24, 2026, at Sallys YMCA, 1601 Forney Creek Parkway, Denver, NC 28037. The event benefits local advocacy, hope, health and home needs for homeless and indigent residents.
Event options and distances:
- 5k : 3.1 Miles timed division
- 5k : 3.1 Miles non timed run or walk
- Kids Fun Run : 1 Mile for ages 11 and under
Registration notes indicate paid entries for the 5k divisions and a free kids fun run. Packet pickup is set for October 23, 2026 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Lake Norman Brewery in Denver, NC. A T shirt deadline to guarantee a shirt is October 10, 2026; youth shirts are available for purchase for the free kids division.
Awards are distributed by age and overall place. Examples include gift cards and product prizes for fastest timed finishers in age groups 12-17, 18-39, and 40 plus, as well as six month memberships for overall fastest male and female. Everyone who completes an event receives a medal; participants age 12 and up receive swag bags.
