Event overview

Santa's 5K Run/Walk - Official NC Bigfoot Christmas Reunion is scheduled for Saturday, December 13, 2025, in Mt. Ulla, North Carolina. The event benefits Rowan Helping Ministries, a not-for-profit that operates human service programs to assist the economically disadvantaged. Canned goods and used running shoes will be collected at the race and distributed by Rowan Helping Ministries after the event.

Course and place

The 5K is a 3.1 mile loop course through and around the West Rowan area. The event is based at the Millbridge Ruritan Building, 490 Sloan Rd., Mt. Ulla, NC 28125. The Ruritan Building is less than a half mile from Highway 150 and is directly across from Sloan Park.

Registration, extras and timing

Entry fees listed include a 5K price of $30 through December 12 and a Race Day price of $35; the Fun Run price is $10. The first 150 5K participants will receive a long-sleeve technical t-shirt. All 5K and Fun Run participants and volunteers will receive a light breakfast following the races; others may purchase the breakfast as a donation to Rowan Helping Ministries.

Awards and categories

5K awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers in each age division, plus top three overall and overall masters male and female. The Fun Run will award the top three male and female ages 12 and under. Age divisions are listed for the 5K from 11 & under up to 70 & over.

Additional notes

Timing and scoring for the 5K will be provided by Salisbury Rowan Runners. The event includes a special drawing and recognition for large shoe sizes labeled "Bigfoot Humans." Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
