Santa's 5K Run/Walk - Official NC Bigfoot Christmas Reunion Presented by Global Contact Services
This event is a community run and walk held in Mt. Ulla, North Carolina, with registration and check-in at the Millbridge Ruritan Building, 490 Sloan Rd. The main course is a 3.1 mile loop through and around the West Rowan area; walkers are welcomed in the 5K.
Event distances:
- 5K (3.1 miles) for competitive and recreational runners and walkers
- 0.5 Mile Fun Run for youth
All proceeds benefit Rowan Helping Ministries. Canned goods and used running shoes will be collected at the event and distributed by Rowan Helping Ministries after the race. The first 150 5K participants will receive a long sleeve technical t-shirt. A light breakfast will be provided to all 5K and Fun Run participants and volunteers; others may purchase the breakfast as a donation to Rowan Helping Ministries.
Awards will be presented immediately after the 5K, including top three male and female in each age division, top three overall male and female, and overall masters male and female. The 1/2 mile Fun Run will award the top three male and female ages 12 and under. 5K age divisions include 11 & under, 12-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70 & over.
Timing and scoring for the 5K will be provided by Salisbury Rowan Runners.
Registration opens September 3, 2026. 5K registration fee is $30 through December 11, 2026 and $35 on race day. The 1/2 Mile Fun Run fee is $10. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
