Sole Train 5K
The Sole Train 5K is the 12th annual 5K event held at Moakley Park on Columbia Road in South Boston. The event is presented as rain or shine and centers on a run/walk that begins and ends at the Moakley Park Picnic Area (450 Old Colony Ave).

Registration includes early bird pricing with processing fees applied. Listed fees include a 5K entry priced at $23.39 and a youth 5K entry (up to age 18) priced at $18.04.
On-site services and amenities include bib pickup and a light breakfast before the run, a brief program and warm-up, a water stop near the 1.5 mile mark, and a post-run celebration with pizza, sweet treats, music, lawn games, and family-friendly activities. Two porta-potties will be available at the picnic area. Participants may leave bags at the Registration Tent; items are not locked and are not the responsibility of event organizers if lost or stolen.

Transportation notes indicate very limited parking at the park, nearby small lots with accessible spaces, MBTA walking distances from JFK/UMass, nearby bus stops, and several Bluebikes station locations.
