About the race
The 12th edition of Sole Mates 5K & Brew Fest is a combined running event and beer festival held at Shoes & Brews in Longmont, Colorado on November 7, 2026. The event is presented by Shoes & Brews and Left Hand Brewing and uses the St. Vrain Greenway for its course, described as an out-and-back with a lollipop loop.
The running program features a 5K with two waves: an Elite wave for runners planning sub-22 minute finishes and an Open wave for all other paces. Chip timing and free race photos are provided. Overall winners in the Elite wave receive a prize described as their weight in beer from Left Hand Brewing; Open wave overall winners receive Saucony running shoes. Age group awards include growlers and crowlers for 1st and 2nd place in each category.
Race entries include access to Left Hand beer with gluten free and nonalcoholic options noted on bibs. A separate Brew Fest participant ticket is available for non-racers; alcohol consumption requires an ID and is restricted to those 21 and older. The day also includes live music by Native Station, a DJ set after the raffle, vendor booths and demos from Saucony, a vendor expo, and a large raffle with multiple prizes. Registered runners or volunteers receive a custom race hat.
Packet pickup is scheduled on November 5 (afternoon and evening) and November 6 (afternoon), with a short race day pickup window at the event site. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
