Sokolský běh republiky – Ottawa
The event takes place at Mooney's Bay Park and is held in a race format. Time may not be measured with an electronic timing device, but results and the announcement of winners are provided. Participants collect a start pack on site with a bib and small gifts from partners, and finishers receive a medal shaped like the republic.
The main adult route is 4,1 km and runs around the park, which includes a 300 m long beach. The surface is mixed: mostly grass, some sand, sections on asphalt (a bike path), a small grove and a short hill.
Children's races run around a small hill in the park. About one quarter of the route goes through a small wooded section, the remainder across meadow.

The event program includes a welcome with a group photo and the singing of the Czech national anthem, a children's warm-up, the races, and an awards presentation in categories men, women and seniors (65+), followed by refreshments. The venue provides picnic tables and portable toilets. The park has on-site parking. Published entry fees are 25 CAD for the main race and 5 CAD for the children's race.
