Event overview
SOHO-HO AND AWAY WE GO! takes place on December 13, 2025, in Ocean Isle Beach, NC. It is the second annual Christmas Trail Race held at Silver Coast Winery. The event includes these distances:
- 5K - trail race at Silver Coast Winery
- 1 Mile - fun run
The trail course features holiday-themed areas along the route, named Cindy Lou Hoo’s Loop, Candy Cane Lane, and Griswold’s Holiday Road. An after party in Santa’s Workshop is planned for registrants, where attendees can have a glass of wine or beer, enter a costume contest, take photos, visit local food trucks, and listen to holiday music.
Awards, swag, and charity
5K participants registered by November 13 will receive a race shirt. 5K finishers will receive a finisher medal at the finish line. 5K awards include cash prizes for the top three male and top three female overall, cash prizes for the top three male and top three female masters, and awards for top male and female in these age groups: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Part of the event proceeds will benefit the Combat Vets Motorcycle Association, which focuses on assistance for individual veterans, veteran care facilities, and other veteran organizations.
