Riccobene Winter Run : North Myrtle Beach, SC
The Riccobene Winter Run in North Myrtle Beach offers in-person and virtual race options on certified courses. The event includes two distances:
- 5K
- 15K
Both courses are USATF certified (5K: SC22005BDS; 15K: SC22006BDS). The in-person event is based at 200 Main Street, North Myrtle Beach, SC, with packet pick-up scheduled the day before at J. Bryan Floyd Community Center, 1030 Possoum Trot Rd. Designated participant parking is available within two blocks of the start area; organizers note that with about 2,000 participants there may be traffic and a wait for parking.
Course support includes water stops (one on the 5K; four on the 15K) providing water and Gatorade, more than 100 directional signs, a lead biker, and 8-foot flag mile markers. Volunteers from local non-profits staff the course and aid at the finish line. Post-race activities include a party with a DJ and awards presentation.
Awards are given to the top three overall and masters male and female finishers, plus top three age-group awards in five-year increments for both distances. Virtual participants receive mailed race packets within two weeks after the event when registered in the virtual category.
