Run Oak Island is a two-day road race weekend on Oak Island, NC held on February 14 and 15, 2026. The event offers in-person and virtual options and includes the following distances:

  • 26.25 miles (Ultra Marathon)
  • 26.2 miles (Full Marathon)
  • 13.1 miles (East Half Marathon)
  • 13.1 miles (West Half Marathon)
  • 10K
  • 5K
  • 1 Mile

Published entry prices include: $30 for the 1 Mile, $50 for the 5K, $60 for the 10K, $115 for the Half Marathon, $130 for the Full Marathon, and $140 for the Ultra Marathon. Combo and multi-race bundle options are available.

Course, support and awards

Several race courses are USATF certified. The full marathon includes 13 water stops; the half marathon courses include 7 water stops; the 10K has 2 stops and the 5K has 1 stop. The West Half crosses the intracoastal waterway bridge with a 65-foot elevation twice; the East Half uses a different turnaround and is run on a flat course. Chip timing is used for age-group awards; overall awards are based on gun time. Finishers receive 3D medals and a tri-blend shirt is included for all races except the 1 Mile, for which a shirt is an optional add-on.
