Course notes describe extensive oceanfront and marsh scenery, a country club and arboretum section, and an intracoastal waterway bridge on the full and west half courses. Several races are USATF certified and the full marathon is listed as a Boston qualifier. Course support includes multiple water stops (13 on the full marathon, 7 on the half marathons, 2 on the 10K, and 1 on the 5K), mile markers, directional signage, and volunteers at intersections and aid stations.

All finishers receive three dimensional medals; a tri-blend shirt is included for most distances except the one mile. The event is part of a three-race BAM series offering an additional series medal for completing qualifying events in the same calendar year. Packet pickup for 2027 is to be finalized, with a tentative location at St. James Community Center. The weekend includes an after party with food, music and awards presentations.
