Snowflake 5K Run/Walk

The 15th annual Snowflake 5K Run/Walk is a charity event held in Nyack on December 27, 2026, benefiting the Nyack Community Ambulance Corps, People to People, and the Soup Angels. The main course is a loop along the Hudson River that is mostly flat with one hill. Participants receive a long sleeve cotton running shirt, and refreshments such as hot chocolate and warm cider will be available.

The event offers both in-person and virtual 5K options. Virtual participants run their own 5K course, upload their time, and are sent a T-shirt; virtual entries are not eligible for medals or prizes. Entry fees for the main 5K events are listed as $35. The kids fun run is free and intended for children up to age 10; it will be run in two groups with short sprints of about 100 and 200 yards and every finisher receives a medal.

Prizes are awarded to the fastest overall and masters winners in male, female, and non-binary categories, and medals are given to top-three finishers in each age group. Registration for the main events opens October 16, 2026, and closes November 28, 2026; the kids race has a separate registration deadline on race morning.
