Snowdrop ULTRA 55 Hour Race and Relay
Snowdrop ULTRA is a timed endurance event in which participants run, walk or alternate on a measured loop for 55 hours. The event accepts solo runners and relay teams of up to ten people. The course is a USATF certified loop of 0.69045 miles composed of crushed granite and pavement and is held at Buffalo Run Park in Missouri City, TX.
Proceeds benefit the Snowdrop Foundation and support scholarships, childhood cancer research, and awareness efforts. The 55 hour format is symbolic: it represents the combined continuous operating time of two surgeons plus an additional hour, honoring a record setting continuous surgical effort that inspired the race.
A runner’s guide is provided with practical information for participants, and results and statistics are archived from past editions. Recognition at the event includes buckles awarded to solo runners who reach 100, 150, 200, and 250 miles. Starting with the 2026 edition, awards are given to first, second, and third place relay teams based on total team mileage.
The event highlights returning legacy participants and maintains a Wall of Fame for those who have completed 100 miles or more during the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
