Houston 25K
The Houston 25K is an annual running event held in downtown Houston, departing from the Wortham Center - Fish Plaza. This event serves as the third of four races in the Houston Marathon Warm-up Series, providing participants with a structured way to evaluate their training progress. The competition features several distance options to accommodate different goals:
- 25K
- 10 Miles
- 5K
- Virtual 25K
- Virtual 10 Miles
- Virtual 5K
Participants in the 25K race must maintain a minimum pace of 14 minutes and 30 seconds per mile to meet the four-hour and 30-minute course time limit. Runners in this category are required to begin their third loop by 10:00 a.m. to remain on the course.
The event includes an after-party at Fish Plaza. All finishers receive a medal, and participants who register by specific deadlines are provided with a long-sleeve shirt. Awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as the top three masters finishers for each distance. Age-group awards are distributed for the top three finishers in five-year increments for the 25K and ten-year increments for the 10 Mile and 5K events. Packet pickup is conducted at Fleet Feet on the days preceding the race, with a final pickup window available at the event site on race morning. No race-day registration is permitted.
