Snow Bull at Camp Chet
Snow Bull is a set of timed trail runs held on January 16, 2027 at Camp Chet near Whitwell, Tennessee. The event is hosted by Camp Chet in partnership with Mad Cow Trek Club and takes place at 5050 Pocket Road, Whitwell, TN 37397.
Distances and formats include:
- 21K race
- 6 hour timed run
- 12 hour timed run
The course uses a clockwise 6.6 mile loop composed of mixed single and double track, grass fields, mountain trails, and mining/logging roads. Each loop has about 1600 feet of elevation gain. The route is largely runnable and includes some moderately technical and rocky sections as well as ridge, forest, and field segments.
Onsite accommodations are limited. Camp Chet offers a small number of cabins and tent spots during the event. Organizers are working with an RV rental partner to provide a limited supply of onsite rental campers at a reduced event rate; these rentals follow a strict cancellation policy. Rental campers can be used to arrive the night before, preview the track, rest during the event, and stay overnight after the event.
The Snow Bull track runs on well marked hiking trails and is available for preview or training by guests who hold camping or day passes. Sponsors support the event through various contribution levels. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
