Snow Bull Endurance Runs
Mad Cow Trek Club and Camp Chet organize the Snow Bull Endurance Runs at Camp Chet in Whitwell, Tennessee, on Whitwell Mountain within the Cumberland Plateau. The venue covers nearly 1,000 acres of private forested land with dense forest, bluffs and rock formations, open spaces, wet weather creeks and waterfalls, expansive views, and miles of hiking trails.
The course is a 6.5 mile loop composed of mixed single and double track, grass fields, and logging roads. Each loop contains about 1,500 feet of elevation gain. The loop is largely runnable and includes some moderately technical sections.
Event formats listed include multiple distances and timed endurance options:
- Half marathon
- 6 hour endurance run
- 12 hour endurance run
Finisher awards are provided for all participants. Additional awards will be given for first place male and first place female in the Half Marathon, 6 hour, and 12 hour events.
Packet pickup is handled on race morning; there is no early packet pickup. Participants are required to check in for bibs, ankle monitors, and waivers at packet pickup. Organizers note a specific GPS address should be used rather than searching for Camp Chet. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
