Last Chance Ranch Snouts and Tails Run
The Last Chance Ranch Snouts and Tails Run takes place in the rural landscape of Quakertown, Pennsylvania. The event is hosted at an animal rescue facility that has been operating since 1999, housing 150 large and small animals including horses. The race course begins on the ranch property and utilizes four different roads.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 10 km run
- 5 km run
- 1.5 mile fun walk
The 10 km and 5 km courses are measured via GPS, though the distance may extend slightly beyond the official race lengths. For those participating in the 1.5 mile walk, no timing chips or bibs are provided. A water station is located along the course, and portable restrooms are positioned on the ranch property near the registration area.
Awards are presented to the top male and female runners overall. Age group medals are distributed two deep for categories under 20 and three deep for age groups ranging from 20 to over 70. While the facility is an animal rescue, dogs and strollers are not permitted on the 5 km or 10 km running courses for safety reasons.
