Prizes, entry and rules

Entry for the 2026 race was listed at £27.00 and entries close on 31st January 2026; the organiser has allowed edits and transfers up to that closing date. An extensive cash prize list is offered: first male and female £250, plus a further £250 if the course record is broken (only the fastest competitor may claim this additional prize); second and third male and female £70 and £60; first veteran male and female £30; first club team (three to count) £45. Only one individual prize may be claimed by a competitor and prize money or trophies must be collected at the awards ceremony at the race HQ.

The race has a 2 hour 30 minute cut off. If a competitor cannot finish within that limit, transport can be arranged to take them to the finish; competitors who decline transport remain on the road at their own risk.
