Smoky Mountain Bigfoot 5K & Fun Run : Townsend, TN
The event takes place in Townsend, Tennessee at 7967 E Lamar Alexander Parkway and is based at the Peaceful Side Social. Two distances are offered:
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- 1 mile (untimed fun run)
Both the 5K and the 1 mile fun run start at the Peaceful Side Social. The organizer describes virtually guaranteed Bigfoot sightings along the route and notes there is an on-course aid station.
Registration opens 8/25/2026 and closes 5/1/2027. The listed registration fee is $50 per entrant. The event includes race swag.
The run is associated with the Smoky Mountain Bigfoot Festival, which features live music, vendors, food trucks, Bigfoot competitions, special guests, and a family-fun zone. Due to insurance regulations, pets are not allowed in either race. Strollers or wagons are permitted only on the 1 mile fun run.
