Smoky Mountain 24 Hour Challenge, Sevierville TN
The Smoky Mountain 24 Hour Challenge is a loop-based trail running event held at 1005 Park Road in Sevierville, Tennessee, in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains on October 17, 2026. The course is a three mile loop and the field is limited to 300 runners. The event is organized by East Coast Adventures and Yeti Trail Runners.
There are two timed options. The main event gives runners 24 hours to cover as much distance as they can on the three mile loop. A daytime option, called the 9 to 5 Challenge, gives runners eight hours on the same loop. Registration fees are listed as $250 for the 24 hour event and $150 for the 9 to 5 event. Runners who reach 80 miles earn a Dolly themed belt buckle. Finishers receive a medal and a custom race T-shirt.
Aid and support are located at the center of the loop so runners pass an aid station every three miles. The aid station provides food, hydration, and volunteer support, and crew access and personal gear are available nearby. The park and pavilion section of the course is under construction and video of that section will not be available until construction is complete in late August.
