Sleeping Lion Ridge Trail Runs
Sleeping Lion Ridge Trail Runs take place on November 8, 2026, at Westside Open Space Reserve / Westside Park / Don Haskins Rec Center, 7400 High Ridge Road, El Paso, TX 79912. The event offers trail race options over two distances:
- 10K trail run on the lollipop loop.
- 20K trail run using the same loop with multiple laps.
Entry fee is $45 through September 20 at 11:59 p.m.; the fee increases to $50 afterward. A $10 discount applies to members of Military, Fire, Police departments and other first responders. In-person packet pick-up and registration are available at Up And Running, 3233 N. Mesa, Ste. 205, on Saturday, November 7, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There is no race day registration, though packet pick-up in the park is available.
Race swag includes tech T-shirts for all entrants and finisher medals for those who complete the distance for which they registered. Bibs may not be transferred between participants.
The course follows a route that is 98.5% the same basic five mile lollipop loop used in 2023. The terrain features rolling sections and varied footing, with approximately 800 feet of climb per five miles. A course map will be posted online.
