About the race
The Corazon De Ninos Run is an annual community running event held at Union Plaza Park, 201 Anthony St., El Paso, TX. The event offers both a timed 5K and a 1 mile walk. Scoring is chip to chip for the race results. Registration opens May 6, 2025 and closes March 1, 2026.
The listed registration fee for each event is $30. Packet pick up is scheduled on August 21 and August 22 at a local pickup location. Short-sleeved dri-fit shirts and a bag are provided to the first 2500 registrants, with sizes guaranteed on a first-come, first-served basis.
There will be no t-shirt size exchange at packet pick up. Awards and recognition include special medals for overall and age group winners, age group awards across multiple categories up to 75 and older, an award for the largest team, and finisher medals for the first 2500 finishers of the 5K and 1 mile events. A final drawing will distribute prizes worth a total of $1400. The event supports cardiovascular operations and procedures for pediatric congenital heart disorders for children in the international border region of Juarez, Mexico.
