About the race
Slay the Dragon is a three day trail running weekend at Silver Star Mountain, BC, from June 25 to 27, 2027, organized by Bush Babes. The program includes multiple trail races, a kids event, and a vertical climb.

The Slay the Baby Dragon kids event is a 2.5 km out and back on the Cross Mountain Trail for children aged 0 to 12. The route has gentle ascents and descents, includes a marshal at the turnaround, is timed with emphasis on participation, and awards each finisher a medallion and a goodie bag. Parent participation is suggested and t shirts are not included for the kids race.
The Dragon Vertical Climb covers about 480 m of vertical gain on open slope with no packed trail. The race description notes rugged, unpaved terrain and lists CAN $250 prize money for the first male and first female finishers.
The three day weekend features racer package pickup, an athlete meet and greet, an expo, on course aid stations, professional timing and photography, live race announcing, awards, a family market, food and beverage areas, a recovery zone with massage, and volunteer support.
