Slay the Dragon
Slay the Dragon takes place June 19 to 21, 2026 at Silver Star Mountain Resort near the lakes of Vernon, British Columbia. The event features multiple trail race options over a variety of distances.

The course includes technical single track sections and more runnable trails, with sustained climbs and long descents. The route is well flagged and supported by fully stocked aid stations, first aid coverage, and volunteers. Race entry includes a custom racer bib, a swag bag, and finisher recognition. Event amenities include music, an expo, massage, and food options.
The kids event Slay the Baby Dragon is an approximately 2.5 km out and back on the Cross Mountain Trail with gentle ascents and descents. A marshal is stationed at the turnaround. The kids race is timed but emphasizes participation; each child receives a medallion and a goodie bag. Parent participation is suggested for younger children.
The Vertical Climb covers about 2 km with approximately 480 m of vertical gain on an unmarked open slope with no packed path, ascending the Comet Express area. Early entry fees and details are listed and a t-shirt guarantee requires registration by May 15, 2026. Registration closes June 12, 2026.
