Slay the Dragon 2027
Slay the Dragon is a ten year anniversary trail running weekend at Silver Star Mountain, BC, taking place June 25 to 27, 2027 and organized by Bush Babes.
The event offers multiple race options:
- 50 km
- 25 km
- 13.6 km
- 2.5 km Kids Race
- Vertical Climb with about 480 m vertical gain and no packed trail
Races run on single track with technical sections, sustained climbs and long descents. The weekend program includes racer package pickup, an athlete meet and greet, an athlete activation expo, live race announcing, sponsor activations, aid stations with professional timing and first aid, and race photography. Saturday features the main trail races and the kids event. Sunday includes the Dragon Vertical Climb plus a family market and recovery activities.
Early entry fees listed for the event are: 50 km CAN $220, 25 km CAN $185, 13.6 km CAN $170. The Dragon Vertical Climb entry fee is CAN $20 and the Kids Race fee is CAN $20. Registrants who register by the stated cutoff are guaranteed a custom T shirt; the organizer also lists custom bibs, a ten year finisher medal, and custom swag as part of racer inclusions.
