Skylar's Run - Clean Water
Skylar's Run - Clean Water is a community sports event held at Little Mulberry Park in Auburn, Georgia. The event centers on raising awareness and providing funds for sustainable water filters for families in Kenya. Participants can choose from several event formats:
- 5K: A timed running and walking race that serves as a Certified Peachtree Qualifier.
- 0.5 Miles "Walk & Roll": A non-timed participation event on a paved, wheelchair and stroller accessible loop.
- Virtual 5K: An option for remote participants to support the cause from any location.
The 5K race is open to adults and children. Medals are awarded to the top three timed finishers in each gender and age category, while trophies are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers. The event includes a photobooth opportunity and a medal ceremony following the completion of all races.
The 0.5 Miles Walk & Roll is designed for participants of all abilities. The registration fee for this distance covers one primary participant and one "race buddy" to assist them on the course. All registrants in this category receive participation medals during a special awards ceremony.
Registration for the physical events includes a t-shirt for the participant, a raffle ticket, and post-race refreshments. The event takes place at the Fence Road Entrance of Little Mulberry Park. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
