Skylar's Run - Clean Water 5K
Skylar's Run - Clean Water 5K is a community fundraising event on September 26, 2026, held at Little Mulberry Park, Fence Road Entrance, Auburn GA 30011. The event raises funds to provide sustainable water filters for vulnerable families in Kenya. Organizers note that women and children in parts of East Africa regularly walk about five kilometres to collect water that is often unsafe for human use.
The event offers both a timed 5K run or walk and an accessible family activity called Walk and Roll on a paved half mile loop. Registration includes a participant t-shirt, a raffle ticket, and post event drinks and snacks. Walk and Roll registration includes one free buddy registration for the primary participant; a buddy t-shirt is available as an optional purchase. Race t-shirt size requests may not be guaranteed after September 10, 2026.
A revised 2026 course features two out and back sections designed to remove the steep hill on the East Meadow loop. Family registration permits up to four family members for a single fee of $100, and group registration is available for teams that fundraise together.
Awards for the 5K include medals for the top three timed finishers in each age and gender category, trophies for the overall top three men and top three women, and participation medals for Walk and Roll registrants presented in a special awards ceremony.
