SkunkApe 806/524/314 Trail Race - Lowell Park, Dixon, IL
The event takes place on March 27, 2027 at Lowell Park, 2114 Lowell Park Road, Dixon, IL, and is organized by Meadows Monster. Multiple distance options and a relay are offered with entry fees and day-of prices for each.
Distances and time limits:
- 33.75 miles - 8 hours 6 minutes time limit
- 22.5 miles - 5 hours 24 minutes time limit
- 13.5 miles - 3 hours 14 minutes time limit
- 806 Relay - team entry listed with separate fee
Course format and logistics: the course is a 2.25 mile loop run in alternating directions each lap (forward first lap, reverse second lap, and so on). Surface is single track through woods with a few paved road crossings and about 166 feet of elevation gain per lap. Lap counting is manual at the start/finish; participants must ensure volunteers record each lap before continuing.
Aid station at the start/finish will provide water, coffee, and essential snacks; a larger variety of hot and prepared foods was provided in 2026 and similar items may be available. Participants may bring items to contribute.
Awards and finish items: awards for male and female 1st–3rd in each distance; 1st overall for relay teams only. Finishers who complete a distance within the time limit receive specified apparel or caps per distance. Registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
