Event overview
The Pinetum Mind Games Endurance Event in Dixon, IL is a timed loop endurance event offering 6-hour, 12-hour, and 24-hour options. It takes place at the Pinetum (the pine tree upper loop) in Lowell Park. Participants may enter as individuals or as part of a three-person relay team. Registration closes on Wed, Jul 1.
Course and format
The course is a paved loop of 0.411 mile that participants repeat for their chosen duration. Runners, walkers, and relay team members keep track of their own laps. The center of the loop is available for participants to set up tents and personal aid stations for the duration of their time on course. Organizers will provide water on site.
Logistics and rules
This is a self-supported event and participants are responsible for their own food and non-water liquids. GPS watches may not be used for distance tracking; loops must be recorded on the timing sheet at the timing tent. The park remains open during the event; the loop will be closed to traffic and volunteers will be present to assist. Gates close for park entry at dusk. Pets are not allowed, and participants are asked to keep noise down overnight. The event offers a 100% deferral policy if requested up to two months before the event, and accommodations related to pregnancy can be arranged by contacting the race directors.
