Ski to the Sun - Methow Valley community ski race
Ski to the Sun is an annual community ski race organized by Methow Trails and the Methow Valley Nordic Ski Education Foundation. The course travels through North America’s largest ski trail network, taking skiers from the Methow River valley toward the mountain vistas at Sun Mountain Lodge. The event includes post-race food, festivities, raffle prizes, and awards.

Entry includes a race bib, a custom Ski to the Sun hat, post-race lunch, and one complimentary beer for participants 21 and older. There is no day-of registration; organizers note that the event sells out every year. Registration is scheduled to open in September 2026. Organizers recommend purchasing registration insurance. Transfers and cancellation rules apply; refunds may incur a cancellation fee and are subject to deadlines set by the event.
Relay entries require the team captain to pay the full team fee at registration. Youth 17 and under have a reduced entry fee and require a coupon code before registering.
