Skate4Grant's Grief Challenge Run - Ashby, Minnesota
Skate4Grant's Grief Challenge Run takes place on August 8, 2026, at Seven Sisters Prairie in Ashby, Minnesota. The event offers in-person and in spirit options and is organized around remembering people and pets who have passed.
Participants can choose from three distance options:
- 5K: 1.5 miles out and back on hilly gravel with clear mile markers.
- 5 mile: 1.2 miles level along Highway 78 with views of Lake Christina, then 4 miles of gravel roads with 16 rolling hills.
- In spirit 5K or 5 mile: run or walk from any location; distance is flexible.
Registration carries a fee of $25. Registration opens June 2, 2026 and closes August 8, 2026. The fee includes a hat; registrations completed by August 1, 2026 are entered to win a gift card. Organizers provide clear signage and mile markers on course routes.
Organizers invite submission of names and photos of loved ones; submitted memorials will be displayed along the course and on race bibs.
