Ashby Appreciation Days 5K/10K
Ashby Appreciation Days is a community running event held Saturday, July 18, 2026, at the Central Lakes Trail Shelter on the southeast side of Ashby, MN. Registration and packet pick-up occur the day before at First Presbyterian Church and on site at the trail shelter on event weekend. The event includes several distances and uses paved and gravel surfaces through and around Ashby.
The distances offered are:
- 1K Family Fun Run: 0.5 km down-and-back on the Central Lakes Trail (paved).
- 1.5 mi Legacy Roots Youth Run: 0.75 mi down-and-back on the Central Lakes Trail (paved).
- 5K: 3.1 miles via County Rd 10, 100th St (gravel), and Central Lakes Trail.
- 10K: Shares the 5K course with an added 2.5 km out-and-back on the Central Lakes Trail.
Chip timing is provided for the 5K and 10K by Anderson Race Management. T-shirts are guaranteed for registrations received by June 14, 2026; later registrations receive shirts while supplies last. Entry fees vary by age group and by registration date, with early, standard, and race weekend rates. Awards include kiddie finishes for Fun Run participants, medals by age category for 5K and 10K top finishers, prizes for overall winners, first to the top of the hill, and first baby stroller finisher. No refunds are offered for participant cancellations or weather related cancellations. Organizers may convert the event to a virtual format if public health guidance requires.
