The course runs on rural roads through Skagit Valley farmlands and finishes on the high school track. The marathon is a Boston qualifier and is USATF certified as WA21009RMB; the half marathon is certified as WA19017RMB. The route is described as flat and designed to favor roads with less traffic; participants must finish within 6 hours from the start.
Support on course includes staffed full-service aid stations with water, FLUID Performance sports drink, and Honey Stinger gels, additional water-only stations, and porta potties adjacent to aid stations. Volunteers will patrol the course with cell phones for general support. Roads remain open to vehicle traffic and participants must yield to traffic; course monitors will be present at intersections.
Race organization notes include a registration limit of 800 entrants, packet pickup at a nearby hotel the day before and at the high school on race morning, and rules such as bib display, no strollers or dogs, and a recommendation that headphones be used at low volume so runners can hear traffic and officials.
