Event details
The 49th Annual Skagit Flats Marathon, Half Marathon and 5K takes place on September 13, 2026, in Burlington, Washington, with the start and finish at Burlington-Edison High School (301 N Burlington Blvd.). Registration is limited to 800 participants. Chip timing will be used for all races. All finishers receive a medal; water and food will be available at the finish. High school locker rooms will be open for showers and changing. Packet pickup is available Saturday from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Hampton Inn (1860 S. Burlington Blvd.) and on race morning at the high school from 6:45 am to 8:00 am.

Course and race services
The courses run on rural roads through Skagit Valley farmlands and finish on the Burlington-Edison High School track. The marathon is USATF certified (WA21009RMB) and the half marathon is certified (WA19017RMB). The route will be clearly marked and monitored at intersections. The course is open to vehicle traffic; participants must yield to vehicles and follow Washington state pedestrian laws. Rules include no strollers, skateboards, dogs, or inline skates; bibs must be worn on the front of the shirt; and participants should not run more than two abreast. The course must be completed within six hours.
Aid stations will be staffed and provide water, FLUID Performance sports drink, and Honey Stinger gels. Porta potties will be located near aid stations.
