Skagit Flats Marathon, Half Marathon and 5K
The Skagit Flats event is held in Burlington, Washington, with the start and finish area at Burlington-Edison High School. The event includes three race distances:
- Marathon 26.2 miles
- Half Marathon 13.1 miles
- 5K 3.1 miles
The marathon course is flat, runs through rural Skagit Valley farmland, and is a USATF certified Boston qualifier with course number WA21009RMB. The half marathon is also certified with course number WA19017RMB. Both the full and half finish on the high school track. Course markings and monitors will be present at intersections. The course is open to vehicle traffic and participants must yield to vehicles; the course must be completed within 6 hours and closes at 2:15 pm.
Timing and support details: all races use chip timing with starting and finishing mats. Full service aid stations are staffed along the course and supply water, FLUID Performance sports drink, and Honey Stinger Gels. Porta potties will be located adjacent to aid stations. Live results are available through Chronokeep.
Other logistics: packet pickup is available Saturday from 12 pm to 5 pm at Skagit Running Company and on race morning at the high school. The event is limited to 800 registrants. Finishers receive a medal, water and post race food, and high school locker rooms will be open for showers and changing. No gear check is provided.
