Six Foot Track Marathon (2026)

The Six Foot Track Marathon follows the full length of the Six Foot Track, a 45 km trail across the Blue Mountains from the Explorer's Marked Tree near Katoomba to the Jenolan Caves. The event began in 1984 and covers the entire trail.

The race is organised as a not-for-profit event; all profits are donated to the Blue Mountains Rural Fire Service. Volunteer firefighters from the Rural Fire Service staff the aid stations on race day. Each year the event records over 1,100 entrants completing the course.

The 2026 race date is Saturday, 14 March 2026. Entry for the 2026 race opens on Monday, 17 November 2025. Registration options listed for 2026 include preferred entry, lottery entry, and deferred entry from 2025. The published registration price for these options is $240, with prices described as inclusive of mandatory charges, items, and fees. The event does not operate a wait list, and entries may not be sold or transferred under the race rules.

Partners and sponsors associated with the event include Sydney Striders, the Rural Fire Service, Tailwind Nutrition, Blue Mountains Running Co., and Camelbak. A course map and further race information are provided by the organisers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
