Six Foot Track Marathon

The Six Foot Track Marathon is a trail marathon that follows the full length of the Six Foot Track across the Blue Mountains, running from the Explorer's Marked Tree near Katoomba to the Jenolan Caves. The course covers a distance of 45 km and has been held since 1984.

The event is organised as a not-for-profit and directs its profits to the Blue Mountains Rural Fire Service. Members of the Blue Mountains Rural Fire Service staff the aid stations on race day. Each year the event records over 1,100 entrants completing the course on race day.

Information provided for the 2027 edition lists the race date as Saturday, 13 March 2027. The organisation maintains materials on the race format, course elevation and maps, race day logistics including shuttle buses and parking, aid stations, and spectator information. Results and historical records are tracked and published for past races, including course records, age group records, previous winners, and team results.

The event also records volunteer involvement and lists partners and sponsors who support race operations and services on race day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
