Sisu Backyard Ultra at Lake Rebecca is scheduled for September 5, 2026, in Rockford, MN at 9831 Rebecca Park Trail. The event uses the backyard ultra format: runners complete a 4.167 mile loop each hour and must finish each loop within the hour to continue.
The course mixes gravel, asphalt, and trail surfaces and is used through both day and night. Runners who finish a loop with time remaining can rest, refuel, change gear, use a sauna, or take a swim before the next start. If a runner does not complete the loop within the hour or cannot start the next loop on time, that runner is out of the race.
Participants may set personal distance goals; the backyard ultra format means there is no fixed finish line. Example target distances noted by the organizer include:
