Sirhowy Loop
The Sirhowy Loop is a multi terrain race of approximately 6.66 miles held on 17 May 2026. It is the third edition and follows a shorter loop of the Sirhowy Challenge and the surrounding area. The course is undulating and is described as unsuitable for wheelchair athletes. All participants must be over 17 on race day.
Entry and logistics
Entry fees are £12.00 for Welsh Athletics registered runners and £14.00 for non-affiliated runners. A small booking or service fee applies. A UKA Race Licence has been applied for. Entries close on 16 May 2026 and there are around 200 places in total.
Race headquarters is at the Ynysddu Hotel, a short walk from the start. Race numbers can be collected at the registration desk on race day. Toilet facilities and the awards ceremony are at The Progressive Club, Ynysddu. All finishers receive a drinks token. Prizes are awarded for first male and first female finishers.
Participants will be asked for a predicted race time during registration to help with planning. Once entered, there are no cancellations or deferrals; transfers to another runner are allowed via the Entry Central account before 16 May 2026. Only bone-conducting headphones are permitted. Results may be published and may include name, club affiliation, race times, occupation, and age category. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
