Sioux Falls Skedaddle
The Sioux Falls Skedaddle is an annual community running event held in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Organized by the 605 Running Company, the event features two distinct distances and emphasizes local community pride through a scenic course.
The available event distances include:
- Half Marathon
- 1 Mile
The Half Marathon course begins at Family Park and concludes at Fawick Park. This route is serviced by pace teams with target times ranging from 1:40 to 3:10. To facilitate travel, shuttle transportation is provided for participants from the finish area at Fawick Park to the start line at Family Park, as there is no parking available at the starting location. A bag drop service is also provided at the start using specialized clear bags.
The 1 Mile event, known as the Zippy Mile - Superhero Edition, is a fun run and walk that encourages participants to wear superhero costumes. This event starts near Cherry Rock Park and shares a finish line with the half marathon at Fawick Park. Proceeds from this shorter distance support the Bryan Boys for Hope organization.
The finish line at Fawick Park hosts various festivities including music and refreshments. Spectators can follow the action from designated cheer zones located approximately every two miles at aid stations along the half marathon route.
