Sinton Volunteer Fire Department Turkey Trot 5K & 1K Kids Run
The event is a community run and walk hosted in Sinton, Texas, at Welder Park on November 14, 2026. Proceeds from the event support the Sinton Volunteer Fire Department and are designated for equipment, training, and maintenance.
The course begins at Welder Park, follows streets through Sinton, passes through the fire department bay, and returns to the park for the finish. The event includes post-race awards, post-run refreshments, and family activities at the park.
Bib pick up and late registration are available the day before at the fire station and on race day at the park. The first 250 registrants are guaranteed a shirt and a medal; the t-shirt deadline is October 31.
Special category rules apply for firefighters and firefighter volunteers entering the 5K: participants in that category must run in their gear; firefighter boots are optional and running shoes are recommended. Organizers note that wearing boots for extended distances can be difficult.
