Keeping Diabetes at Bay 5K Walk/Run

The 5th Annual Keeping Diabetes at Bay 5K Walk/Run will take place on November 14, 2026 at Water's Edge Park on Shoreline Boulevard in Corpus Christi, Texas. The event is organized by Texas A&M Coastal Bend Health Education Center, a non-profit organization that helps people manage diabetes and provides resources at no cost.

Participation supports the Diabetes Education Program and helps the program offer free community resources such as blood glucose meters, testing supplies, and free health screenings throughout the year. The event is presented as a 5 kilometer walk and run.

Registration information includes an early registration fee of $25.00 and an on site registration fee of $35.00. Registrations completed by October 23, 2026 are guaranteed a shirt.

Packet pick-up and registration are available before race day and on race day. Pre-race packet pick-up is scheduled for Wednesday November 11 and Thursday November 12 from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and Friday November 13 with the same hours, at Coastal Bend Health Education Center, 4215 S. Staples St., Corpus Christi, TX. Race day packet pick-up is available at the Water's Edge Park race site from 6:45 AM to 7:15 AM. Pre-race pick-up includes registration numbers, a disposable time chip, and race information.
