4th Annual Turkey Trot - Robert Frost PTC
The Robert Frost Parent Teacher Club hosts a community Turkey Trot in Silverton with two course options and on-site check-in in front of Robert Frost Elementary.
Distances
- 5K - 3.1 miles
- 1 mile fun run/walk
The 5K uses public sidewalks along streets and crosses commercial driveways, and it is not a closed course. Walkers are permitted on the 5K and are asked to congregate toward the rear of the starting area to allow runners space. The 1-mile fun run/walk takes place on a wood chip and gravel path behind the school and the Silverton Baptist Church; participants should be aware of possible uneven surfaces. Jogger strollers and multi-terrain accessibility aids may be able to navigate that path while umbrella strollers and standard wheelchairs may be limited.
Entry fees are listed separately for each event. For the 5K the fees include $25 for adults, $10 for students ages 6–18, and free entry for children 0–5 with a paid adult. For the 1-mile event the fees include $10 for adults, $5 for students ages 6–18, and free entry for children 0–5 with a paid adult. Registration is live until 11/25/26 and same day registration carries an additional $5 per runner per event.
All participants receive a raffle ticket for donated prizes. Robert Frost students and staff receive an extra raffle ticket. Restrooms, water, and snacks are available at the start and finish areas. The Robert Frost parking lot and the Silverton 55+ Center lots will be closed and not available for participant parking; a small number of spots may be available at Silverton First Baptist Church. Bicycles, scooters, and skateboards are not permitted on campus. Tobacco products, weapons, and controlled substances are prohibited. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
