SilverBackTrails Lamplighter 40
The Lamplighter 40 is a night trail run across the North York Moors held on 19 June 2027. The route starts and finishes at Goathland Village Hall and visits triangulation pillars and other checkpoint locations on moorland tracks and trods.
The event is one of two Lamplighter distances:
- 40 miles route across the North York Moors
- 20 miles shorter night route
Courses will include some marker flags; each entrant receives a route GPX file and a tracker to aid navigation. There are two on-course refreshment locations providing water, fizzy pop and snacks, and one indoor checkpoint between other stations.
Entrants register and collect race numbers before the event and must return to Goathland Village Hall within a time limit that varies by distance. All finishers receive a Lamplighter medal. There are mementos awarded to the first female and first male finishers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
