SilverBackTrails Lamplighter 20
The Lamplighter 20 is a night trail run held in the North York Moors on the night of 19–20 June 2027. The event is a circular 20 miles route that starts and finishes at Goathland Village Hall and runs through open moorland, forestry and good tracks while visiting triangulation pillars and other checkpoint locations.
Entrants are issued a tracker and provided with a GPX and a master map to assist navigation. The course will include marker flags and there will be at least one indoor checkpoint. Refreshments, water and snacks are available at checkpoint locations and hot food is provided at the finish, with vegetarian and gluten free options. Entrants may rest in the village hall after finishing before travelling home. Parking at the village hall is limited to marshals; there is additional parking in the village.
Entry is limited to 40 participants and the minimum age is 18. Entry options and fees listed are Solo £35 and Pair £70; entries close 15 June 2027. Each entrant must carry mandatory kit and will confirm possession at registration; a kit check will take place at a checkpoint. Mandatory items include a map covering the North York Moors, working compass and whistle, headtorch and spare torch or batteries, emergency bivvy bag, spare warm clothing, waterproof jacket and trousers, battery pack and charging lead, charged mobile phone with the race director contact, at least 500 ml of water, at least 60 g of emergency food and a cup.
