Silver Heist Walk/Run 5K
The 5k is inspired by the local history of Orwell, a town chartered in 1763. The race start is signaled with a conch shell blast, a tribute to a historical town tradition. Participants follow a course that includes a stop at a "bandits' camp" halfway point to collect a wooden token resembling a historical ring. The race finishes at the town green. The winner receives $30 in silver, referencing a historical theft amount from 1862. All in-person participants receive a custom event t-shirt and a wooden token.
Little Bandits Bolt
The Little Bandits Bolt is a kids' dash held on the soccer field at Orwell Village School. Every participant receives a custom t-shirt and a finisher's token.
