The Silver Falls Trail Challenge takes place at Silver Falls State Park in Sublimity, Oregon on February 28, 2026. Distances offered are:
- 1/4 Marathon (6.55 Miler)
- 1/2 Marathon
- 12 Mile Ruck Challenge
Entry fees are tiered with higher rates after 1/1/25 and higher day-of registration rates. Silver Falls State Park charges a $10 per car parking fee. Packet pick-up is scheduled for Friday, February 27 at the Orchards Shelter, with additional pick-up available on race day.
The 12 Mile Ruck Challenge requires a minimum carried weight: 35 lb for packs and 40 lb for vests.
Course details
Both the quarter and half marathon courses use the Trail of Ten Falls. The quarter marathon is one clockwise loop of the Trail of Ten Falls, starting and finishing at the Orchards Shelter.
The half marathon is essentially a double loop of the Trail of Ten Falls. The route links via the Canyon Trail in a clockwise direction, passes North Falls, then turns onto the Rim Trail to return to the start/finish for an aid stop before a second loop. The second loop includes guidance onto the Maple Ridge Trail to reconnect with the Canyon Trail.
The 12 Mile Ruck Challenge follows the half marathon route with one exception: on the second loop participants are directed onto the Winter Trail, which reduces the total distance by over one mile. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
