Silver Falls Trail Challenge
The Silver Falls Trail Challenge takes place at Silver Falls State Park in Sublimity, Oregon on February 28, 2026. The event offers multiple trail distances and uses much of the Trail of Ten Falls and adjacent park trails.
Distances offered:
- Quarter marathon one loop of the Trail of Ten Falls
- Half marathon double loop with a routing change on the second loop
- 12 mile ruck challenge follows the half marathon route with a second loop exception
The quarter marathon route uses most of the Trail of Ten Falls and passes behind South and Lower South Falls. The quarter course deviates at the Canyon and Winter Trail junction and adds a Bike Path Loop of about 1.8 miles near the four mile mark before returning to the Rim Trail and the finish area.
The half marathon is essentially a double loop of the quarter course with a modification on the second loop that routes runners down the Maple Ridge Trail, bypassing the Southern Falls.
The ruck challenge follows the half marathon course with a different second loop routing. Participants must carry a 35 lb weighted pack or a 40 lb weight vest. Packs will be weighed before the start and after finishing and must meet the 35 lb requirement or penalties will apply. Consider carried food and water when meeting the weight requirement.
Packet pick up is Friday February 27 at the Orchard Shelter from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, with additional pick up available on race day starting at 7:00 AM. Silver Falls State Park charges a $10 per car parking fee. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
