Northern Traverse® 2026

Northern Traverse® 2026 is a self-supported ultra race held from 28 March to 1 April 2026. The route runs coast to coast from St Bees Seafront on the west coast to Robin Hood's Bay on the east coast. The course crosses the north of England through three National Parks and includes mountains, valleys and moors. The advertised distance is approximately 300 km with about 6,500 m of total ascent. The event is organised by Ourea Events.

Entry, age and policies

Entries open on 9 April 2025 and close on 15 March 2026. The minimum age for entry is 18. Total entry fees are listed as £799, £849 or £899 depending on when the entry is made. A non-refundable deposit is required: £99 until 20 April, £149 until 26 October, and £199 from 27 October 2025 until entries close. The remaining balance of £700 is payable in two interest-free instalments of £350 due by 1 July 2025 and £350 due by 1 December 2025. The event offers an optional XCover purchase that may allow a refund for unforeseen circumstances. Event cancellation and refund policies are published by the organiser.
