Event Overview

The Northern Traverse is a 300 km self-supported ultra race. It follows Wainwright's Coast to Coast route across the north of England, starting at St Bees on the west coast and finishing in Robin Hood's Bay on the east coast. The route passes through three National Parks and includes approximately 6,500 m of ascent.

Logistics and Entry

The event takes place from Saturday, 28 March to Wednesday, 1 April 2026. Entry is open to participants aged 18 or older. The entry fee varies between £799, £849, or £899 based on when registration is completed. The fee includes a non-refundable deposit and the remaining balance, which can be paid in two interest-free installments. Registration closes on Monday, 26 January 2026.
