Northern Traverse® 2026

The Northern Traverse® 2026 is a self-supported ultra race of 300 km that follows Wainwright’s Coast to Coast route from St Bees Seafront to Robin Hood’s Bay. The event takes place from Saturday 28 March to Wednesday 1 April 2026, beginning on the west coast and finishing on the east coast.

The route crosses the north of England through three National Parks and passes mountains, valleys and moors. Total ascent for the route is approximately 6,500 m.

Entry information and status are recorded for the 2026 edition. The minimum age is 18. Entries opened 9 April 2025 and closed 15 March 2026, and the event is now full. The total entry fee is £799, £849 or £899 depending on entry date. A non-refundable deposit is required and follows tiered amounts: £99 until Midnight on 20 April, £149 until Midnight on 26 October, and £199 from 27 October 2025 until entries close. The remaining balance of £700 is split into two interest-free instalments of £350 due by 1 July 2025 and £350 due by 1 December 2025.
