Northern Traverse 2027
Northern Traverse 2027 is a multi-day, self supported ultra race held from Saturday 3 April to Wednesday 7 April 2027. The event begins at St Bees on the west coast and finishes in Robin Hood's Bay on the east coast. The organiser is World Ultra Events UK.
The route follows Wainwright's Coast to Coast line across northern England and crosses three National Parks. The course covers approximately 300km and includes mountains, valleys and moorland with about 6,500 m of ascent.
Entries open on 1 June 2026 and close on 19 March 2027. The minimum age for participants is 18. The total entry fee is £999, comprising a non-refundable deposit of £249 and a remaining balance of £750 split into two interest free instalments of £375 due by 1 June and £375 due by 1 October. The event offers an optional XCover purchase that may allow a refund in some unforeseen circumstances.
