RunThrough Lake District Running Festival 2026

The RunThrough Lake District Running Festival takes place on 11 April 2026 in Keswick, starting and finishing at Keswick School, Vicarage Hill, Keswick CA12 5QB, UK. The event is licensed by the Trail Running Association (TRA) and held under UK Athletics rules. The 53k race has a total cutoff of 13.5 hours with rolling cutoffs at each aid station. The 53k route passes Derwent Water, goes through Seathwaite, ascends Scafell Pike into Wasdale, passes around Kirk Fell to Honister Pass, summits High Spy and descends Catbells back to Keswick. The 23k route passes Derwent Water, goes through Menesty, ascends High Spy and descends Catbells back to Keswick. Minimum ages are 20 years for the 53k and 17 years for the 23k.

Included services and logistics

Live tracking is provided for ultra runners. Other included services list a unique themed medal, free official race photos, chip-timed results, post-race goodies and a post-race hot meal. Each kilometre is marked with distance flags and marshals are placed on the course. The event village offers food and drink options and well stocked aid stations are provided at regular intervals.
