The Silsoe Stride is the 13th edition of an outdoor running event held within the grounds of Wrest Park and neighbouring farmland. The event includes race distances for adults and children and is organised by volunteers and local village groups. Profits are shared with village beneficiaries; more than £28,000 has been shared in previous years.

- Children's races (varying short distances)
The 10K is for entrants aged over 15 on the event date and is not suitable for walkers. The 5K is for entrants aged over 7 and welcomes walkers and Nordic walkers. Children’s races are for ages 2 to 10 and vary from about 100 m to 1000 m; children are allocated to races by age and school year. All finishers in the children’s races receive a medal and the first girl and first boy in each children’s race receive a trophy.
Entry prices listed for the event range from £4.00 to £23.00, with specific offers for Adult 10K, Adult 5K and Children’s races. The event site provides space on the Wrest Park playing field, planned refreshments, and toilets with controlled access. The 2026 event is organised by local groups including Silsoe Pre-School, Silsoe Lower Football Club, Silsoe Cubs and Scouts, and Silsoe Millenium Green Trust.
