Silsoe Stride - Wrest Park, 28 June 2026
Silsoe Stride is a community running event set within the grounds of Wrest Park and neighbouring farmland. It offers estate and countryside routes that pass Burton Farm and include gently undulating terrain. Both race routes start and finish at Wrest Park.
The event includes these distances:
- 10K: multi terrain through Wrest Park and countryside. Ages 15 and over.
- 5K: scenic route through the estate; walkers and Nordic walkers welcome. Ages 7 and over.
- Children's races: 100m to 1000m allocated by age and school year. Ages 2 to 10.
The 10K route includes a few hills and is not suitable for walkers. Children who finish their races receive a medal.
The Stride is organised by volunteers and village groups, with planning and running shared by local organisations. All profits are shared with beneficiaries within the village; in previous years more than £28,000 has been distributed to village groups.
