Event Overview

The Signal Hill Rotary Mutt Run offers three events: a 5K for runners or walkers without dogs, a 5K for participants with a dog, and a 1K for participants with a dog. The event starts at the Granada Launch Ramp near Rosie's Dog Beach in Long Beach, California. The course follows the Long Beach shoreline.

Participant Information

Participants can run or walk at their own pace. For those bringing a dog, all breeds are welcome. Dogs must be leashed, stay on the pedestrian path, and be non-aggressive. Race packet pickup is at the starting line on race day.

Post-Race Activities and Inclusions

A post-race festival includes an adoption event organized by Long Beach Animal Care Services. All participants receive a finisher medal, and 5K and 1K participants get a race t-shirt. Awards are given to the top three finishers in the 5K events.

Purpose

The event supports animal welfare and community projects. Seventy percent of the proceeds go to Long Beach Animal Care Services, and thirty percent support the community project fund of the Signal Hill Rotary. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
