Event details
The Signal Hill Rotary Mutt Run 1K & 5K takes place in Long Beach, CA on Saturday, February 21, 2026. The event offers multiple race options: a human-only 5K, a 5K for dogs and humans, and a 1K for dogs and humans. The course begins at the Claremont Launch Ramp at 5350 E. Ocean Blvd and follows the Long Beach shoreline. Parking is available at the 54th & Claremont lot. Race packet pick up is available at the starting line on race day.
Race features and rules
Distances:
- 5K (human-only and dogs + humans)
- 1K (dogs + humans)
Dog rules:
- Dogs must be leashed and stay on the pedestrian path
- Dogs must be non-aggressive with people and other dogs
- All breeds are welcome
Included items and post-race activities:
- Adoption event by Long Beach Animal Care Services at the finish area and post-race festival
- Race t-shirt for 1K and 5K participants
- Finisher medal for all participants
- Awards for the top three 5K finishers
