The Great Cow Run (Higashi Roman Memorial Run)
The Great Cow Run is a community running event on September 5, 2026, held at John Glenn High School, 13520 Shoemaker Avenue, Norwalk, CA 90650. The event is organized by alumni of Cerritos High School to support the school and provide a running event for community members, coaches, parents, supporters, families, and recreational runners. The event references Cerritos's history as Dairy Valley and serves as the Higashi Roman Memorial Run.
The program includes several race categories: the Higashi Roman Memorial Run (open race), The Spotted Calf (child and youth sprint), and a High School Invitational. Registration options listed include an in-person 3 mile fun run, walk and jog and a virtual 3 mile option. Listed entry fees are $35 for the in-person 3 mile event and $40 for the virtual 3 mile option.
The current course map and check-in information will be provided on site and sent by email to registrants. There is no bag check on site. Parking is allowed only in legally marked spots; the high school lot is a paid parking zone and cash is required for parking. Cars may be towed if not parked properly.
