Sierra Prieta 50K
Sierra Prieta is a trail race held on August 15, 2026 in Prescott, Arizona, at the Thumb Butte Recreation Area. The route starts and finishes at the Thumb Butte Trailhead and covers 50K (about 31.7 miles) with approximately 4,500 feet of climbing.
The course passes three prominent sections of the Sierra Prieta range: Thumb Butte, Quartz Mountain and Sierra Prieta Overlook. There are three aid stations located at mile 7.9, mile 14.9 and mile 23.8. The event enforces a cutoff pace of 2.64 MPH, which is 22.43 minutes per mile.
