Granite Mountain Grind
The Granite Mountain Grind is an ultra trail race in Prescott, Arizona, contested over 50K on granite-dominated terrain. It is described as the only sanctioned Ultra race in this area of Prescott and uses local singletrack that passes among large boulders and juniper-studded slopes.
The course emphasizes technical footing with rocky climbs, fast descents, and extended stretches of singletrack. The event is fully supported with three fully stocked aid stations, two additional water-only stations, a well-marked course, and on-course safety teams. Every participant will receive a finisher medal, and awards will be presented to first through third place finishers in both the male and female categories.
The 2026 edition is planned as an inaugural event with the field limited to 100 runners. Entry for the race is listed with an entry fee of $85 plus tax and sign-up fees, and registration closes on Sat, Sep 12 at 11:59 PM MT. The event is organized by Dirty Goat Adventures, which emphasizes marked courses, supplied aid stations, and intentional race design. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
