Granite Mountain Grind overview
The Granite Mountain Grind is a trail ultramarathon held in Prescott, Arizona. The event features a 50K course routed through granite terrain with rocky climbs, fast descents, and long stretches of singletrack beside large boulders and juniper stands. The organizer describes the course as technically demanding and focused on solid footing rather than paved surfaces.
The race is fully supported and sanctioned. The aid system includes three fully stocked aid stations and two intermediate water stations, a well marked route, and on course safety teams. Every participant receives a finisher medal and awards are given to first, second, and third place in both male and female categories. The field is limited to 100 runners and the entry fee listed is 85 dollars. The event date is Sept 26, 2026.
Dirty Goat Adventures organizes the event and presents it as an experience with clearly marked courses and supplied aid stations. The race director has longstanding involvement in race support and has worked in station setup and race operations for over 25 years, and also has experience competing in ultramarathons in Arizona.
