Event Overview

The Sidmouth Four Trigs is a trail running event located in Sidmouth. The course covers a distance of approximately 17 miles through the East Devon countryside. Participants start and finish at the Watersports Hub in Sidmouth.

Course and Navigation

This event is a self-guided and self-navigating run. Participants are responsible for following the route, though organizers provide a map to assist with navigation. The primary objective of the course is to visit four specific trig points around the region:

  • High Peak
  • Beacon Hill
  • Buckton Hill
  • Weston Cliff

The route visits these four trigs in a specific order, and the direction of the course changes every year. The terrain consists of trails that offer views of the surrounding landscape from each trig point and the paths connecting them.

Participant Experience

Runners are permitted to move at their own pace. Registration for the event takes place at the Watersports Hub on the morning of the run. While the course follows a set route to the four pillars, the self-guided nature allows for an element of exploration between the designated points. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
