Event Overview
The Millwater 10km takes place in the grounds of Bicton College, hosted by Millwater School. Now entering its seventh year, this event supports Millwater School, a specialist educational facility for children and young people with complex learning difficulties. The event base offers green spaces, designated areas for spectators, and available parking for participants.
Course Details
The race follows a 10 km multi-terrain route through the undulating lanes surrounding the college grounds. The course is characterized by a variety of surfaces, including:
- Tarmac roads
- Unmetalled roads
- Rural footpaths
- A water crossing (ford) depending on recent rainfall
The layout consists of a one-loop circuit that transitions between paved lanes and off-road sections.
Participant Information
The event is open to runners aged 15 and over. Participants can choose between two entry types: a standard entry that includes a finisher's medal or a lower-priced "no medal" option designed to reduce environmental impact. For those who choose the medal option, wooden, eco-friendly medals are typically provided.
Facilities on-site include a race number collection point for pre-registered entrants and an unsecure baggage drop area. Trophies are awarded to the top three male and female finishers overall, as well as to winners in various age categories.
