Sibelco Cornwood 10K Challenge & Fun Run
The event on Saturday 25 July 2026 offers a main 10 km race and a 4 km fun run or walk in and around Cornwood and Lutton. The 10 km course uses mainly roads with some tracks and has a minimum age of 16 years. The fun run is aimed at under 16s, families, or participants who prefer a shorter, less hilly route. Both events start and finish at Cornwood Square and the 10 km is held under UKA rules.
Facilities at the event include refreshments, baggage and changing provision. Medals are awarded to all finishers and there are team prizes. A prize of £50 is offered for setting a new 10 km course record. The current 10 km course records are 33 minutes 34 seconds for male and 39 minutes 16 seconds for female, recorded in 2018 and 2024 respectively.
Entries are managed through an online entries system and published entry fees apply for affiliated and unaffiliated runners, and for different age groups in the fun run. Race organisers prohibit wearing headphones during the races; runners will be prevented from running with them. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
