Course and races
The main fell race distance is 3 km (1.9 miles) with 270 m (886 ft) of ascent. Junior races are included; the junior U11 race (open to those over 6) is 1 km. Ages are determined as at the following 31st December. Teams are not allowed.

Entry on the day is available; the entry-on-day fee is £5. Pre-entry is not offered. The race holds a permit and associated UK Athletics insurance from the FRA. Course records are 00:15:11 (male, 2004) and 00:18:57 (female, 2008). The event is part of the Wildboarclough fete; there is a separate fete entry fee of £2, which includes car parking.
