About the race
The SHRM Washington DC Impact 5K is a community charity event on 11/07/2026 at Rock Creek Park, Rock Creek/Beach Drive, 4850 Colorado Ave NW, Washington DC 20011. The event supports the SHRM Foundation scholarship program and workforce development efforts that promote more inclusive workplaces.
Two event options are offered:
- 5K in person
- 5K virtual
Registration opens on August 21 and features tiered fees. In-person pricing begins at $40 through September 25, increases in late September and late October, and reaches a higher rate through the event date. Virtual pricing begins at $50 through September 25 and increases through October 23. In-person registrants receive a custom bib, race shirt, and medal; race shirts are only guaranteed for registrations by October 25. Virtual registrations include shipment of a packet containing a bib, shirt, and medal.
Packet pickup is available at the =PR= Run & Walk Store in Arlington on November 5 and 6, and at the race site in Rock Creek Park on November 7. Awards for the top three overall male and female finishers will be mailed after the race.
The event includes a Gratitude and Veterans Appreciation Drive. Participants may bring new thermal socks or write handwritten notes for local veterans at the Washington DC VA Medical Center, and donations to the SHRM Foundation will be accepted.
